D'Urville Island and more!

I went to D'Urville Island last week. It's the second time I've been. It's a long drive, over gravel roads, but there are great views and it's a great adventure! Country Calendar were filming out there so we made up a "D'Urville Island" song and the chorus goes like this:

We live on D'Urville Island it's a very cool place to be
We live on D'Urville Island it's home to you and me
We live on D'Urville Island, we're surrounded by the sea
We swim everyday HEY!
Work and play HEY!
Very happily!!

We also made up a song about a Weka which is in the slideshow below so you can pause it and read the words if you like!

My new CD is getting close to being finished - well actually, I keep throwing in another song, so now it'll have 11 songs on it! That's if we have time to get them all finished. 9 have been recorded and just need bits and pieces put in and finished off - for example, tomorrow we are recording some saxophone (played by Jane Fisher) and some trumpet (played by Pete Rainey) - and I'm really excited about it!

Don't forget, if you are in Nelson, the release date is Saturday 28th May 3-4pm at Victory Community Centre. Come along to the concert and hear some new songs!

Now sit back, relax and enjoy the slideshow of my trip to D'Urville.....
